Everyone has the same dreams. To get married, to have kids, and just to be happy. Though it seems lately everyone is trying to take those dreams away from people. I really wish someone would please tell me what is wrong with gay marriage! Honestly, who does it hurt? I understand that the bible saying marriage should be between a man and woman, but I do believe our government isn’t supposed to be based on religion. America is supposed to be a place of freedom and opportunity. Unless of course you are different in any kind of way. I think it is horrible how people can try to take away love. Though I hope they know they will never succeed. Yes, you may be able to take away a contract that says they love each other, but in reality, whether it is two men or two women, that will still forever want each other. No matter what the government says. So I don’t see why we have to take away marriage from them. They love who they love. No one has any right to tell them otherwise. Give every single person the right to love and the right to spend the rest of their lives with whoever they please.

Selena, we are talking about the rights for marriage (which is supposed to be about commitment and love for another person). What they do within that marriage is between them.

But we shouldn't change the definition of marriage: unity of man and woman. That issue is way too touchy for way too many people. But, otherwise, I greatly support LGBT rights.

I agree. Being gay or bisexual isn't a choice; I, a female, fell in love with a girl this year, and she loves me too. Natural? If you want to talk of laws of nature, marriage is not natural. What animal out in the wild have a paper to say they are bound to each other. Animals mate and go. There is not concept of father in a lot of animal families. There are a lot of unnatural things we humans have done.

there are chemicals in the human body that decide what gender you're attracted to, so in a way being gay does go with nature.
