Summary: Alek Thoreaut's life went up in smoke when Summer made its move on Fall. Burning the Quadrant, and killing all who oppressed them, he was one of few who escaped. Found and saved again by a resistance that began in the Winter Quadrant, his life is turned upside down yet again as he realizes just how important the events of the Summer burning have made him. The fight against Summer is one many believed impossible. A lost cause. And Alek -the boy who barely speaks- the last hope of a hopeless case. But maybe, just maybe, they're wrong. And Fall will rise again.
