The women flaunt their
beauty like the only
rose in a brown
bush as they slightly
strut around the
track

While the men rush, tug, pull,
and jerk their muscles in
the field, they screech and
yell as they do suicides and
hurdles like gladiators training
for war

The in-betweeners sprint down
the pink. The pink rubber
carries an aroma up to
the bleachers as
the rays from the sun
heat it up
