Transcendentalism Notebook
Day:1
As I sat outside I found it really hard to block out the noise. All the airplanes, cars, and sirens distracted me from the purpose of trying to find peace in our suburban version of nature. But as I sat outside on this somewhat gloomy day, I started to notice the squirrels snickering and the birds chirping. I looked at how simple their life was compared to mine. Then again everybody and everything has its own struggles. With the rustle of what leafs were left on the trees they all flew away in the blink of an eye onto their next endeavors, and as the 20 minutes were up, so did I step onto my next endeavor. As I took my dog for a walk later that day, I stopped to notice the birds chirping and the changing color of the trees. These moments of quiet allowed new insights into my life.
