"Be the change that you want to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi

Every time you tell me that you're done and I let you go to sleep, I worry that I won't hear from you when you wake up. When I wake up the next morning I wonder if you even went to sleep, or did you really do it this time? I check my phone to see if maybe you woke up early...you didn't. I tell myself that you're okay, you're just sleeping. You usually sleep a while anyways, so it's okay, you're okay. I check my phone so often, so scared that you could be gone. It starts to get late in the afternoon so I text you. I hold my breath for so long, for TOO long. My phone vibrates and I see that it's you. Still, this is not enough to soothe my mind. What if it's your mom, dad, or sister or someone else texting me from your phone to tell me that you're no longer here. I open the text message and it's you, I exhale. I pray to God that you have a good day, and that you go to bed happy so that I can breathe again tomorrow.
