daily
scientists split atoms
but I am not able
to distance
myself from you
maybe because
when I fell in love
I fused
my arteries
to yours and
glued together
our intercostal muscles.
I wanted you
to always remember me
to never leave
me behind
like everyone else
does so perfectly
but I guess
your heart was
a few centimeters short
of being able
to love someone
with all the passion
a body can hold
and instead
you left
too.
