Math, the most foreign language known to, well…me. Math is as foreign as China. I can understand French better than Math, now that’s sad. From as long as I could remember I wouldn’t even bother to try I was so bad. Well I finally got my break last year, my junior year. What a wonderful year. Except not, well academic wise yes. I finally understood what my teacher was talking about in Advanced Algebra.

I thought maybe I’d be good enough to become a Math teacher. Well this year sure proved me wrong. Going into ‘Functions Statistics and Trigonometry’ I was sure that I was going to pass with an A. I was right, for about the first two weeks. Then I hit rock bottom. Let’s just say Math and I no longer get along anymore. So I do not plan on being a Math teacher anytime soon again. I must say I put in my 110% effort, but I guess I just can’t understand it. Some people are just not meant for certain subjects, mine just happens to be Math.

This was a great piece!! I understand your views completely, I hate math myself and have minor trouble with it, not as bad as yours but I still have some problems. Nice job!

I'd just like to say amen for this piece. You've made something easy to relate to. I've actually told my teacher that Algebra should be under a foreign language class. I also understand an actual foreign language better than math. Nice work.
