When the going gets tough, we all have something to fall back on. Something to provide security when we don't have it already. For many it's a bar of dark chocolate, a jog through the park, or maybe a slow, relaxing song. But for me, a cup of tea is all I need.
The warm and refreshing taste. The sweet, aromatic scent. There's no better way to wash away the stresses of our modern lives with just sips of this beverage. Something this good should be on hand at all times, whether it be waking up in the morning, enjoying the day, or preparing for the night. But the best quality of all, is that tea always picks me up when everything else fails.
There's no reason to deride human contact, but there's always the moments where we want to scream so loud, and our head feels like exploding. The time when we just want to punch everyone around us. When we run upstairs, lock the door, cry insatiably, and maybe take out a few pillows while we're at it. But with a medium to help out, however, we can ease the pain, and just chill out.
For in the crazy game called Life, relationships crumble, friendships fade, family passes, and opportunity passes. But a hot cup of Earl Grey, with a packet of sugar lightly stirred, always seems to get the job done.
