She does the same thing every time. You’d think she’d learn from her mistakes, but apparently not. Every time, she gets her hopes up, and convinces herself that this guy will be perfect. She sets the standards high, and has expectations of him, and each time, he fails to deliver. Each time, she lets herself down. She thinks she can control everything, but she’s just like everyone else; half the time, she doesn’t even know what she wants, why she wants it, or even who she is. Sometimes she sets expectations that even she herself can’t live up to. Maybe she should try to stop being perfect – maybe she should learn to live instead of to just exist – but maybe she’s scared of imperfection.
