The Usual Dreadful Morning Routine

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP.
What?
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP.
Where am I???
BEEP BEEP.
Oh. What's today? Tuesday? Another day at school. God help me.
BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP
The droning sound of the alarm clock drains into my ears and my brain doesn't notice it any longer.
My black lace bed drape covers every corner of my bed with love.
My bed seemed uncomfortable last night, when I was trying to fall asleep, yet, this morning it is about as comfortable as a fluffy cloud on a sunny day.
Darkness covers my room and the only light that shows is coming from the closet, spreading across the floor.
It feels like I'm paralyzed, unable to move.
My mouth is dry, and I can tell that I need water A.S.AP.
Last night is calling to me.
My bed is calling to me.
Why, oh why, does the moon have to go down and the sun needs to rise?
I know this dreadful feeling will go away, but I just wish I could go a few hours back in time so I can sleep a little longer.
But that won't happen today.
Or tomorrow.
I slowly move my fingers and my toes and they become awake too.
Now it's time to get up.
I slowly move my body awake and sit up in my bed.
That's when I notice I still haven't shut off my alarm clock.
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP.
The sound booms from my radio and gives me an instant headache.
I move my tired hand and slam it done on the "off" button.
I get out of bed and walk slowly over to my light switch.
It feels like the brightest light in the world is in my room and it causes me to massage my temples and close my eyes.
This is my usual, dreadful, morning routine.
