Oh how cherished is this coveted time of year when the earth drifts between the close of summer and the beginning of autumn. When the trees are edged in gold and the sky turns a paler shade of blue. When crackles underfoot come from a combination of dead grass and fresh fallen leaves. When the air is refreshingly cool and warm breezes ripple peacefully through the sky. When darkness falls, stripping the sky of dusk. When the mornings are misty and the nights are clear. When the world grasps the hindering summer and embraces the ambitious autumn. When stream-beds thirst for the coming relief. When time stops for a breathless moment of pure serenity and the seasons falter just long enough for us to enjoy the pause. When the planets existence is flawless.
