A Note To Everyone I Have Ever Met
Here's a note to everyone I have ever met who has simply taken a look at things and taken things at face value. Here's a note to all of those people who took a look and never thought about what things really meant. Here's a note to everyone that I have ever met, because you're all missing some things that are more important than you ever would've or could've thought possible.
Crystal clear eyes hide darkness inside.
Enthusiasm can never describe this feeling.
Beauty is a mask for pain.
Music makes me more than that.
Keep your eyes and chin up.
Shadows are the ideal loyal friends.
Words are mere shadows of feelings.
Truth is really just a lie.
A string breaks like beautiful silence.
Peace is an illusion hiding chaos.
Look down and you'll miss it.

This piece was inspired by my honors English teacher and one of the assignments that she gave my class. Almost every English class writes 6 word memoirs at some point, and it finally hit me what they were really all about. They're about me and what life has taught me, things that I noticed others miss because they took me at face value. So, I wrote this to all of those who looked at me and saw the fake, superficial me.
