Always forgave you, but never forgot.

The author's comments:

The idea for this memoir originated from certain people in my life such as close friends that go through changes such as when entering high school or getting intertwined with a new crowd. Sometimes these changes alter the people I once knew as they start to form into a different version of themselves. Although, I still like to believe they’re the person I once knew when I met them, which I can usually rely on when being with that individual one on one. When there’s no one else around to influence their actions or speech I know that I’ll get to experience the best version of them. Due to this, I have a hard time letting go of people I’ve already allowed into my life, so I continue to forgive them instead. Since I’ll never forget the incidents and events that made me feel negatively about myself, I’m able to prioritize the people most important to me in life that I can count on and confide in.
