Dear Veteran,

As we pray on Sundays, speak out with our personal beliefs, and express ourselves any way that we want, people forget how we received these individual freedoms. But when time slows, we tend to remember our American heroes, veterans like you.

First of all, thank you. Thank you for thinking about others before yourself. Thank you for placing yourself between us and harms way. Most of all, thank you for being an heroic example of who we are and what we can only dream to be. No amount of thank yous will ever begin to express my appreciation for your service. Your contribution to help make our country a safer place can truly never be thanked enough. I do not know where I would be right now without your bravery and heroism.

Because of your service, the Statue of Liberty rises high above New York, representing America with pride, showing how strong we are.

May God bless you each and every day.

Sincerely,
A friend
