Hungry pavement
swallowsthe corporeal structure,
jagged buildings protrude
like fangs and clampravenously
around surrendered prey.
The earth belches profusely,
andrudely jokes,
"I will show you fear in a handful of dust."*
Toxicity selfishly billows,
and mournful sirens
wail, personify thecry
of a weeping building.
