People on television and Adults and some teenagers and middle schoolers believe high school to be a Hell on earth. They all portray it to be a place full of teenage sex/pregnancies and back stabbing that destroys peoples lives and rumors and cliques. All these portrayals have American pre teens, teenagers, and their parents worried about high school.

Do you want to know what I have to say to that, STOP.

I too, was pulled into the world of high school experience stereo typing.I was horrified I didn't want to be an outcast, again.

Well, I just finished my freshman year in high school, and in a wheelchair for most of it. Do you want to know what I have to say? What am I saying, of course you do, or you wouldn't have read this far.

HIGH SCHOOL IS NOT A HELL ON EARTH, THERE ISN'T MUCH TO WORRY ABOUT

My freshman year, there were no rumors, no lying behind people's back

I never was pressured to have sex or drink or do drugs nor did I ever hear of a wild party

At my high school, there are no cliques or plastics, it may sound like fantasy but, this is true

there are no jaques and preppys and geeks

Oh and the freshman bully thing, and senior pranks, they don't happen

At my high school, I was never bothered about being a freshman and since I was in a wheelchair that was a big surprise

I sat at a lunch table with only juniors and a couple of sophmores, I was the only freshman and I was never bullied about it

I like math, theater, arts in general, and speech, but I hung out with big geeks, a dude who's girlfriend is a calculator, sports buffs, and pretty much every type

So, quit worrying, high school is not a Hell on earth, it never will be

at least, not at my high school

I was never pressured for sex or anything and at my high school there is no back stabbing lying or anything portrayed on television or told in stories

So, parents quit worrying

ALL THOSE ENTERING HIGH SCHOOL, JUST CHOSE YOUR FRIENDS CAREFULLY AND BE YOURSELF AND YOU WILL HAVE AN AMAZING TIME

remember, high school can be the best time of your life and HEAVEN ON EARTH
