respired

and at a depth

in luminescent fishes

that continues.

Speak of time and the monitor's whirl began this.

Which enters the morning as clatter and hacks of a beat printer,

as ink, as paper.

Which has a smell.

Boston's Public Channel 2

broadcast

English and Espa"ol,

greeting.

"Use example and patter."

There exists that way to say that.

Maria meant to help. I remember blurry lines and a

gray scarf of the ghost dream's green. Maria meant it.



I would touch Harry the Dog in his chalky pages

at the 5: 07 grey dawn of a

monster's night

and the rain and summer Saturday.

I say: "I was five at that time."

I became five.

I had

to say.

My bathroom's mirror had

in it plaster dust and black cardboard.

Call that my discovery.

"To decorate."



My hand that has a zit and clear hairs hangs a

pink scarf with the light in it on a cut

stone bannister.



It seems time to go.
