Parents

You have the parents who don’t care what the kid does. They don’t care if their child is going to church, working, getting an education, brushing their teeth or smoking weed. They just flat out don’t care. Their children are a burden to them and they are just waiting for the day when they can give them the old heave ho.

And you have the parents who like to play God. They stand there saying, “Dance, monkey, dance!” They monitor their kid’s every breath. They have to know EVERYTHING about their child. They are insensitive to the kid’s wants and needs, but completely in tune with their own wants and desires. They are selfish puppeteers.

What we need is a medium between these two. No human has mastered perfection, and none ever will, but a little more balance is certainly a necessity.
