Animal Abuse
“60 percent of animals are getting abused” (“Pet Statistics”). Every year, animals are beaten by their owners. Maybe they are not aware it is considered abuse. There are multiple ways people abuse their pets, many statistics about abuse, and consequences for abuse.
“In the last ten years, over 30% of cases that we[The Animal Legal Defense Fund maintains] have tracked involve animal neglect” (“Animal Neglect Facts - Animal Legal Defense Fund”). People abuse animals because they don't notice what they are doing to the animal. Most pet owners don't know that that animals don't have feelings. Animal abuse is also called, Cruelty, . the crime of inflicting physical pain, suffering or death on an animal, usually a tame one, beyond necessity for normal discipline. It can include neglect that is so monstrous. (“Animal Abuse”) When people are abusing animals they don't notice what they are doing. People abuse animal regardless if it's against the law.
1 million animals get abused and killed every year.  70-80 million animals are owned in the United States, (“Pet Statistics”). Most owners don't know that they are abusing their pets, when the owners get their pet, they are happy that they have the pet. After a few days they don't really care for their pet. Just like how when we were little kids and we got new toys, we were happy that we had a got a new toy, but after a few days we didn't want the toy no more because we had, had the toy for a long time. That is how people feel about their pets today, and then they start abusing theme because, they do bad things, and then the owners get really mad at that pet. The Animal Legal Defense Fund says, “The Right of animals to be free from exploitation, cruelty, neglect and abuse.”  (“Animal Legal Defense Fund”)
What animal abusers don't get is that there are consequences for animal abuse. Animal Cruelty Laws says, animal abuse fee is,  Minimum fine of $400, maximum fine $5000. (“Stray Pet Advocacy”) Some pet owners know that animal abuse is against the law, some pet owners just don't care that it is against the law. If anyone abuse an animal in the United States they can go to jail.  Kim Campbell Thornton said,  jail time for between 10 and 100 days. Over 7 million animals get rescued from animal abuse. Thanks for theme people who save them animals from getting abused.
Animal abuse is not right, and people know that animal abuse is wrong but some just don't care. Animal abusers also know that abusing animals is against the law. Everyone know that animal abuse is not a good thing to do, over 1 million animals get abused 45% of animals get neglected a year(“NESAA”), people don't notice what they are doing when they abuse animal. What they also don't know is that the animal abusers can go to jail/prison for a long time. So you make a difference and help stop animal abuse.
