What Matters: Sports

Sports are everywhere, everybody likes sports, they may like hard sports easy sports or just some made up sport of your own! I love sports; I like making up sports, watching sports and best of all playing sports. Now my favorite sport is soccer. I really don't know why, I just do. In soccer my favorite part is winning and having a good time with my friends.

It was about a year ago, I was playing for SCOR soccer club, and I think the game was in mid October. It was pretty cold for an outdoor game; I think it was about 30 some degrees out. We were playing another SCOR team that was older then us! The first half was a little boring. The only big thing was that I had a pretty big break away that I blew. But in the second half it was a whole different story, pretty quick off the starting whistle it was on.

I received a cross from one of our players and just worked with it until I had some open space and then took hard shot low far post. At first it looked like it was just going by the goal, but then it curved right in off the post. It was a real great feeling to know that I started the team off to a good start. Then the other team made a good run and put one in right over our goalie's head about five minutes later. After that the game was just back and forth until with about three minutes left. I got a ball from one of our midfielders. Right when I got that pass I was off. With it I beat one defender. Then I ran shoulder to shoulder for about half the field with him until he just fell behind. The whole crowd was like freaking out. At the 18-yard line I fired a shot low, not that hard, then to my surprise the ball was in the back of the net. The whole crowd was pumped! For the rest of the time we pretty much just possessed the ball.
Once that final whistle blew we were so excited we were just like jumping

on each other. Personally, I was so excited that my knees were shaking. When we were walking back to our parents they were all really excited for us. They were giving us high fives and everything! I felt really good about that game, and best of all, I had a great time playing my favorite sport with all my friends
