Abuse.
We’ve all heard the word. We’ve all seen the word. We’ve all seen the word acted out, as well. But do we really know what it is, and what it means? Abuse is when you treat a person(or animal) with cruelty and violence, especially regularly and repeatedly. This is what abuse means. It can be physical, verbal, or sexual. If you are doing it with cruelty and violence and on a daily basis, then it is abuse. If you whisper into your little sister’s ear every night before she goes to bed that she is ugly and absolutely worth nothing, that is not cute nor funny.
It is verbal abuse.
If you constantly hit your brother when he doesn’t do things for you, and you leave big nasty bruises on his body constantly, it is not good, sibling fun.
It’s physical abuse.
If you have ever forced yourself onto someone repeatedly , despite the fact that they have said NO multiple times, that is not romantic or cutesy.
It is sexual abuse.
Abuse is abuse.
And we all need to realize that.
