“Images,” by Jessica L., is a wonderful piece about body image. It is told from the point of view of the negative voice inside your head. The narrator talks about itself and how it makes a person feel bad about their body. It discusses scars, bruises, split ends, weight, and other aspects of one’s body that is unwanted.

One of the lines that stood out to me was near the end. “There is nothing I love more than the way you hate yourself.” This line sums up how someone may feel about their body. They only hate their body because they think someone else wants it to be better. Overall, this piece had great personification and was just amazing throughout.
