"Farewell" by Maya Vyas is described as if talking about a person, but is talking about an iPhone. The author writes about what she would miss of that "person". For example, Maya writes " I will miss how we would sing together. You, sounding just like the real pop star, and me, sounding like a rabid animal was clawing my eyes," this phrase is talking about a music app on the phone. When I read the piece, I thought she was talking a lover or friend, until I read the last line, " Because Apple just came out with a new iPhone, and I am due for an upgrade."
     I could relate to the author, even though I don't have an iPhone, but an iPad. I do almost everything on the my iPad. From listening to music to watching Netflix to reading books. Just like Maya, who will miss her phone when she upgrades, I will miss my iPad when I get a new one.
