I agree with Nathan. Students at that age still don’t have enough maturity to go straight from high school to the NBA. They have little experience in the real world. What teens should be doing is studying and creating a backup plan. There is nothing wrong with going into the NBA with a proper education.

Let’s say a player goes straight from high school to the NBA. What if he gets injured and then can’t play anymore? If he doesn’t have a degree or a plan, he’s going to have a tough life. Life doesn’t guarantee success, so it’s wise to have a backup plan.

My advice is, stay in school, get good grades, and then think about going pro. Don’t do something you will regret in the future.
