"Lost Teeth" by Brooke Solich is a memoir about her second grade self losing her teeth. It focuses on a bet Brooke made with her friend, Julia, which was to see who would lose their two front teeth first. The author recounts her humorous experiences pertaining to the bet, which made it an interesting read.

This piece was definitely relatable. Brooke's experiences about losing her teeth made me remember my own teeth experiences. I found "Lost Teeth" to be quite special because it connected with me on a personal level. One of my favorite lines from the memoir was, "In the end, that was what it took to win the bet - blood, sweat, and tears." This last line made the writing feel all the more memorable.
