Freedom of Accompanying Images

By , São Paulo, Brazil
Dear editor(s),

Why don't you let writers pick their own pictures to accompany their articles? If the image wasn't the writer's own, the writer could simply state the source. Everyone's done this throughout basic public education. Writers should be able to choose the image that goes with their work; it's just as important as the title and accompanying comments.
Many times I've gone on attempting to find an image close to what I have in mind as being most appropriate and relevant to my written piece without any luck at all. The image search tool is just a Russian roulette and not at all helpful either.
Please consider a change.
