I wholeheartedly agree with Veenita Patel in her article, “How Fair Are the SATs?” In reality, the SAT measures a student’s time management skills and test taking strategies – rather than their math, writing and reading skills. A student’s essay – written in 60 minutes – should not determine if they go to college or not. The article states, “We need more college scholarships that are based on the student as a whole.” Colleges should focus on a student’s GPA rather than their SAT scores to determine what college they get accepted to. Thank you, Veenita for bringing attention to a topic that is rarely talked about.

I completely agree with this, one SAT score should not determine where a student gets accepted to. Especially to the colleges that need all previous scores, but should rather see the improvement of that student test by test.
