It All Starts With a Smile

She sees him across the room
And he sees her too
She looks away
But his attention remains
She looks back up to see who's touching her shoulder
Suddenly, her blood runs colder
A month goes by
And now all she can do is sigh
After all the love and the ache
She realizes it was all fake
She trusted in him and confided
But in the end, she was misguided
She still longs for his touch
But at the same time, she wasnts to be free of his clutch
After all the bruesed and sores
She insanely craves for more
He says she's his girl
She insists he's all she has in this world
She reruses to accept that there's so much more
But she can't deny it deep inside her core
She was wondered for a while
How all this could've started with only a smile...

This poem was inspired by a book called Dreamland by Sarah Dessen. I deffinitely recommend this book to anyone who needs to identify with someone.
