I learned how the food project really cares about what's going on in today's society. Before I came to work here I never really thought about volunteering or helping out in my community. I also learned how not everyone in a shelter is a drunk or a drug addict. Many people have just fallen on hard times and need a little help getting back up. Finally, there is nothing more fulfilling than helping others, and I encourage all to take a little time out and give something back. n
