Are You a Bully......

Everyone, believe it or not at one time or another as probebly been bullied or was the bully. Many people don't realize when they are being a bully

Bullying is when a person or group of people physically, mentally, verbally or emotionally abuse someone. Now a days that can be done via the Internet which can end up becoming very serious

You may have issues at home and you take them out on someone in your class. By hitting them or calling them names.

Many people are bullied because of the way they look or act. As a human I have made fun of someone in my life because of the way they look or act. Everyone has its human nature but there is a difference between calling someone a name of playfully hitting a friend and bullying someone. Bullying is usually continuous and an awful experience.

Everyone has there own definition of a bully, it's a very serious topic as people can commit suicide or self harm because of the way they have been treated. This is not a nice way to live your life. Don't be a bully and don't laugh at a bully then you are bullying as well.

If you are being bullied talk to an adult or friend anyone who you trust. They probably could offer advice or stop it. A teacher can be told in confidence meaning the bully will not now it was you. Walk away from any bullies or even try making friends. They may have difficulties at home.

Also if you think you are the bully try and talk to the person learn about them and maybe explain why you did what you did. They may turn out to be a really kind and funny person on the inside you never know you may be friends.

The author's comments:

I was inspired to write this because I know someone who self harmed and I also have been bullied because of the way I acted. Everyone saw it as a joke but i didn't. I also hear a lot of people on my school who claim they where bullied when someone called them a name. Now obviously if it was a serious name or a personal issue that's different but not something stupid like you have greasy hair,

There are a few typos. I agree with mplo down there. But great writing, keep it up.

There is much in this article with which I agree. I do not, however, agree with the idea of making or trying to make friends with a bully for the following reasons: A) First if all, there's no excuse for bullying, and, anybody who bullies others, regardless of their own problems, is not worthy of being a friend to, as far as I'm concerned. B.) Efforts on the part of the victim to make friends with a bully can only backfire rather badly, because the bully sees his/her victim as someone who's a perfect target, and easy to take advantage of. Chances are that the bully will not respect one's overtures/efforts on the part of his/her victim, but will become even more contemptuous and aggressive towards the victim, because a bully all too often sees somebody that s/he can take advantage of.
