She didn't want to be home

No one understood there
She wanted to see her friends

Yet they didn't know the real her
She didn't want to be at school

A prison of bullies
She didn't want to go train

She didn't get respect
She didn't want to be in a relationship

He didn't get her
She didn't want to write

The words didn't work right
She didn't want to draw

Her feelings didn't show up
She didn't want to go to her room

She had to be alone
She didn't want to lay down

Then she had to think
She didn't want to listen to music

The lyrics/beat never expressed her
She didn't want animals

They couldn't comfort her
She needed an escape

And she whispered her last words
“Goodbye.”

This is a poem about being misunderstood, about wanting more, about escaping into happiness. I think it represents that bullying makes a person restless, unhappy, and scared.
