Sticks and stones

Sticks and stones,
break your bones,
words do hurt you,
they rip through your soul,
on your confidence they take a toll,
you can't hide,
what you feel inside,
you keep the pain silent,
hoping they don't become violent,
they don't even know your name,
that doesn't stop their torturous game,
when you look in the mirror and see their remarks,
because of that you gave yourself the marks,
one day a guy calls you pretty,
you take it as an insult or act of pity,
he sticks around trying to show her what she can't see,
she kept wondering why is he doing this to me,
finally she asked him why,
his answer I hate seeing a pretty girl cry,
don't tell me a lie,
I think I love you,
I think I love you too,
her soul is all repaired and new

Your article is truly... beautiful.  And because it is to give hope and help those that suffer only makes it even more amazing, I've gone through similar but there still hasn't been that pearly white light, that guy that actually thinks of me and calls me beautiful.  I hope that my own articles can help those also like me and if this story was inspired by your own life, you are incredibly brave to reveal it.  Thank you...
