Listen, there are ONLY 5! So, pick one you like best and list why the rest are where they are ;)
1. Army (best training for Rangers)
2. Marines (impressive but you have to do Navy ROTC)
3. Air Force (chair force....)
4. Navy (sea.men.... Never would I want to be referred to by another branch as that!)
5. Coast Guard (I can understand staying close to home but... come on guys)
NAMES FOR THEM (as said by other branches)
1. Ruck Boys or Backpackers
2. Bullet Sponges
3. Chair Force
4. Se.amen
5. Tam.pon Force
Back up! What about NOAA? Or the USPHS? They are actually uniformed services and aren't techniquely 'armed forces', but they're out there and you get benefits like in the military or somewhat like the military and I believe they both have a rank structure and uniforms too.
Anyway
1. Marines
2. Navy
3. Air Force
4. Coast Guard
5. Army
6. NOAA and USPHS tie for last. :-P
This list is just my favorites, I'd join any service that'd take me. :-D
Marine are Jarheads, Leathernecks, Grunts, and Devil Dogs. (Those are the nicknames I know.) I don't know other services nickanmes....
