As 2012 comes to a close I think about all of the things that happened; good and bad, this year. I want to hear what of all you think are the top five events that happened this year. In no particular order here they are:
1. The Re-election of Barack Obama

2. Hurricane Sandy

3. The Summer Olympic Games in London

4. Conflicts in the Middle East

5. Mars Rover Landing

i agree with you for the most part, but not entirely. my list is mainly about the biggest news stories of 2012.
1. Barack Obama re-election (i'm with you on that one)
2. Mass shootings (Aurora theater, Sandy Hook Elementary).
3. London Olympics (agree)
4. Hurricane Sandy. (this would be ranked higher but as far as the media goes, it seems almost forgotten.)
5. The Middle East. (although this was very important, many news sources seem to cover very few stories about it.)
The Mars Rover was not on my list because although it was great, it wasn't our first time on the moon. it probably would be sixth or seventh, though, so i'm not saying it's unimportant. thanks for hearing my opinion.
