So, I'm going to apply to Simon's Rock next year. It's a really unique, very small liberal-arts early college. Early college meaning that I would go there junior and senior year. Before when I talked to my parents about it, they were accepting of it. However, we just got more information about it, and it's really expensive. Basically, if I don't get x amount of merit aid, I won't go. I totally understand where they're coming from. I mean, college is a really big deal, and they don't just want to throw money away for me to go somewhere in the middle of nowhere. And I also know that taking out a loan for 30,000 dollars would be a choice that I wouldn't make. As I've gotten to know more about Simon's Rock, it seems amazing, and perfect. I just feel like I should stop thinking about it now (I've basically been daydreaming about it) so that I don't get my hopes up when I get the letter in March or whenever and find out that no, I didn't do well enough, and that I'm not going to go there. Any tips on coping/ forgetting about it?
