i agree with Rayyn
Rayyn i have a confession to make... i still havent told my mom tht i am a recoverin cutter and i dont think i ever will... its just i dont think she would be very supportive... how did u tell ur parents if u did? how did they react? do they act differently around u now? plz i need major help im soo confused abt wht to do
I'm sorry to say this, but I never told my parents. I just never tried very hard to hide the cuts (well, kind of). I had a friend who helped care for them and I think she might have told my parents, but I don't remember. I'm sorry. If you want, maybe you could try writing a letter to your mom and leave it somewhere that she'll find it or hand it to her. Just a suggestion, I don't know how it would feel for you. Remember, no matter how you tell her, it will be hard to do. But maybe if you do it in writing it will be a little easier. I'm sure either way would come as a shock to learn, so make sure you are careful about it. Sorry if this isn't helping.
As for if my parents treat me differently, I don't really know. I don't think so. I mean, of course they were disappointed when they found out, but all that really happened was they took away all the razors in the house and they still make me ask for one if I want to shave. They didn't really support me to help me get better, but they didn't really hurt my recovery either. Honestly, if you tell your mom yourself, you'd be so much braver than I am.
thanx tht actually helps (hugs Rayyn)
Oh, good. C: *hugs back*
