Yeah, I don't have a facebook. I'm old enough and my mom has one but she doesn't think i should have one because I'll "waste my time"

I don't have a facebook (yet!) either... you aren't alone!

I am Facebookless. I don't want one. Knowing that we are teenagers and will do stupid things without somewhere to post it just scares me. I don't want to take a chance of losing my job or best friends because of Facebook. My preist does marriage counceling and told me that he can't believe the number of MARRIAGES ruined by Facebook. Yeah it sucks cuz my youth group does everything Via Facebook but it's their issue not mine.

I created this forum but now I do have a facebook. I go o it like once a week and I don't even do anything on it. I like to think of it as an experiment because now I know just how stupid it really is and I really just want to delete it now. : (

Then delete!! It's just a way for people to creep on you and know everything about you!

I don't have facebook and I don't want it. It's a big waste of time and there's no privacy. I can communicate with my friends just as well with my email account. I've also heard too many freaky stories about stuff that happened to people on facebook. My friend from elem. friended a boy she knew from kindergarten and first grade soccer team and figured that it was no big deal, she knew him (even though she hadn't seen him for seven years). In the end he kept on stalking her and sending threatening messages to her, and then he started texting her because her cell number was on her facebook page. In the end, he and his friend (a lot older) nearly abducted her, and she got rid of her facebook and changed her cell number. The above are not meant to say that facebook is horrible. You can protect your account. It's just that I don't know if I can trust myself to do that. hannahbananasplit PS. You know something funny? You know how a lot of employers don't like it when their employees have facebook? Well, my mom has to have facebook for her job- that's the only reason she has it! She's in charge of the alumni affairs department of a school and that's how she keeps track of people.

Wow that is freaky! My cousin does special forces or something in the army and he had to take a class on profiling criminals and he told me and my family ways that someone could completely become a part of your likfe starting online. I don't post anything on facebook (like a status or anything), it's completely private and if someone I've never talked to before friend requests me I turn them down. & did you know that any picture you put on facebook then becomes the property of facebook and they can use the pictures however they want in any adds or anything? I think that's weird!

I have a facebook, but I believe facebook causes drama, is dangerous for multiple reasons (strangers, getting bullied or harrassed online, etc), and is a HUGE waste of time. The ONLY reason I am keeping my facebook is so I can find my college roommate when I go to college and also so that I can sometimes see updates from certain friends who I never see

I have facebook, but it's overrated and it's gotten boring, the good thing is you can communicate with people who live overseas. Other than it, it's not really that interesting. It's always better and more social to talk to people face to face. Facebook encourages people to be anti social

I have a facebook, though im not one of those crazyfacebookers, my main purpose of having one is to okeep in touch with my mom (who is in another country) and to keep in touch with my other family who live far from me. Facebook isnt all bad, but the people on it tend to make the site pointless.

I already think texting and not calling someone is bad enough. If you need to tell someone something in more then a couple words call them. It build more healthy relationships. I think the whole social thing of face book just ads more wood to the fire of miscommunication

There are quite a few people I know who don't have a facebook (Including me.) It can be a time hog if you don't use it right. Besides they might be shutting it down by christmas.

Noahwrites, what do you mean they might be shutting it down? I haven't heard this. Not that I'm upset but still. : )

I don't have a Facebook. My mom won't let me, but I know it's a good thing she won't. I would be wasting too much time on it! I know I would!!!!!

I don't have a fb either and I know exactly how you feel. I miss out on a lot of events just b/c I don't have fb and I feel totally left out. But on the other hand, I think fb is honestly stupid. Recently a lot of people have been telling me "Oh my fb got hacked." "Oh, I have this guy who's stalking me." "Oh, my SS teacher found me on fb." Having a fb to me is pretty much saying HEY STALK MY LIFE!!! like and they always say, there's privacy settings, yeah but there's also hackers tht can get around tht... so yeah, I don't like fb and it honestly just irks me. :P

I don't have a facebook. I think it's stupid, silly and a waste of time. I don't care what people think--I don't want a facebook and I'm happy that way. I have Teenink (:.

To me, facebook can be good AND bad. I feel that the negatives outway the positives sometimes but I think that if you are mature and responsible about it you won't have problems.
