I feel like I am the only one without a facebook. I don't want one, but a part of me feels kind of left out and I was wondering if anyone else feels the same.
I don't have a facebook either. i'm old enough and everything (unlike a lot of my classmates) but I honestly find email and chat enough. People always talk about how facebook is a "good social network," and they get all obsessed over it and check it every 2 minutes...I have better stuff to do, thank you. P.S. No offense to all of you who do have facebooks...it's just a personal opinion.
I'm old enough too but it just seems that EVERYONE I talk to has one. I think it's better to talk to people face to face. My one friend is so obsessed with facebook that she spends almost all of her time looking at other people's pictures, which I think can get a little creepy. I don't mean to offend anyone who has a facebook, either but I think some people take it too far.
I don't have one...I kinda want one but I kinda don't
I sure don't! Why on earth would I want to join that idiotic "social networking" site?
YEP! You aren't missing out on anything really, just stupidity. I reckon people without it are the sensible ones.... The world would be better without it.
Emily: I agree with you! :)
Don't worry you are not the only one. I don't have a facebook, I guess I just don't want one although sometimes its a bit inconveniant not having one.
I agree with you, nikkigonefishin! It is inconvenient to not have one, especially when it seems like EVERYONE else does. It seems that way to me at least. I used to want one but then I realized I just wanted one so that I could be "in the loop" with people, but I don't really like most of them. : )
I have Facebook and it's getting boring as time pass. And, oh, I spent more time in Teen Ink. :)))
Yeah, as long as I have Teen Ink I'm satisfied. : ) I bet the people on here are nicer than they are on facebook, too. : )
I don't have one eather...I kinda want one though, seeing as how I go to an online school and that's the only conection I have to other people.
Yeah, I can umderstand why you would want one. It is a good way to keep in touch with people but people get obsessive about it.
yeah...I have a friend (she's honestly the nicest person i have even met) who has one, and she's not obsessed with it- she likes it because it's a good way to show photos and keep in touch when you can't be face to face....just offering another view of fb. XD it's ironic how at the bottom of this page, there's "share this post with my facebook friends"
I totally understand that. & that is kinda ironic. : )
No facebook here. People flip out when I tell them I don't, but in truth the people I want to chat with I can just text. Teenink is my social networking! :D
Most people I know are amazed that i dont have a facebook. then they imeaditaly tell me i have to get one. its kinda a wase of time. all the people i would possibly talk to there, i see daily or don't really want to talk to every minute of the day. and besides, do i really want to know what you ate for dinner, when you brushed you teeth, and what color your pj's are?
Finally! A treasure trove of teenagers who don't have Facebooks! It's a miracle. I don't have a Facebook because I feel that it's undermining the humanity of relationships. And I really only get on the computer to write, but I contribute to Teenink while taking breaks while writing. But not having Facebook has definitely hurt me socially, which is kind of a pain. But it's freeing to, to not belong to it.
Yays! More teenagers without facebook!
I don't have facebook.. I'm the only one left of my friends. I just don't see the deal to having something like that... ruins my privacy and I don't need a friend of my friend's friend to friend me.. O.o what's the point? and having all those 'friends' when you never talk to them.. sounds weird to me.
Not all my friends are obsessed with it.. but I think there's just.. eh.. it's not good. I don't let pictures or anything of me get online either.. well, I try not to.. at least they don't 'tag' me or whatever that is. It just isn't appealing. My trust friends will contact me on email or instant message or call me or something if they really want. OR I can call them. ^^
Finally, I found a group of people who actually don't waste their time on Facebook. You know that although the world is "connected" sort-of, through this network, it's annoying to know that some people and friends pretend to be somebody they're not online. They take all of these inappropriate pictures of their newly fangled abs, etc, etc. If one spends more than one our on social networking, ie Facebook, then that is totally addiction. As the saying goes,"Too much of a good thing becomes unhealthy for anyone".
