I know of a guy that dated this girl who was his best friend for a long period of time. When they went out it was misable for the guy because of the girl's attutide. The point is, you never know until you try, but keep in mind that when you try to be more than friends you are putting ya'll friendship on the line because things never remain the same after.

It depends on the person for it to stay the same. Don't ever think something is awkward because you'll make the other person feel uncomfortable too. Think that maybe you guys should hold off on trying to date and be a friend for her. Maybe she'll come around or maybe you'll move on. :) I hope you realize that it's not the end of the world. Amazing things are always around the corner.
