Teen Ink on Twitter
Oh. I do that sometimes. Hey, it worked! Just not the way you wanted...
i've only been here for a month and i think jade is fairly new too.
This is true, I am new:). Hi Tamara!
girls look for a guy that understands them and will stand by them through any difficulties that they face. we like a guy whos funny, compassionate, and sometimes a little goofy (at least i know i do).
Yeah, I agree wih Run2Liv3. Sorry, I'm going to revise my earlier unhelpful reply: girls like guys who will protect them but let them be independent, who will be their best friend, and who thinks every other girl pales in comparison to their girl. And also guys who are funny:P
so girls don't like guys who aren't funny is kinda what i'm getting out of all these replies...
It's kinda a deal breaker. Why, worried?
Atta boy! You have nothing to worry about.
i sure hope not...:)
we (well, me) want a guy who is funny, knows a little on how to cook, is loyal (HUGE one!), will take time to listen to us, will ALWAYS kill that spider, no matter what size it is, and who is always willing to keep his pants on and cuddle if that's what she wants. I actually wrote a whole article for Teen Ink on advice for guys with the input of my friends, but I never posted it. Should I?
kestrel: please post:)
Well, I'm going to agree with everyone on his being funny, or if not funny, then intelligent. Not like reciting-the-square-root-of-pi-backwards intelligent, but the thinking type. I would want someone I could actually talk to about important things, but he would have to be slightly funny to lighten things up.
Well, also I would want someone who wasn't so much into the touchy-feely part of the relationship. Instead I would want someone who would sit next to me on the couch and talk. And listen. Listening is important.
And I wouldn't want a skinny jeans guy. Or super baggy, either. Just a normal pair of jeans on a guy makes me smile.
Well I think girls look for guys that have a heart. I don't think that personally I think like every girl out there because for me, looks aren't everything. If a guy is really sweet and not obssessed with looks then I'm okay. He needs to have a brain too and put it to use. I don't really care about what they wear as long as it's not crazy.
thanks everyone for replying i really do appreciate it:)
I see that you have already had thousands of replies, but I still thought it would be nice to add something of my own.
Everyone's right: girls love funny guys. But guys can take it too far: I personally hate that. Girls just want guys to listen. Take time out of your own lives and sort of tune into her. It makes a girl feel appreciated, and the worst thing you can do is treat her like dirt. We girls may be very clever most of the time, but other times we can't see what's smack-dab in front of us. And, while this is my own personal opinion, don't over compliment her. Yes, it is possible. If you do that, she may think you need to compliment her because she's really ugly. (yes, we girls may think too hard)
So, if I helped you in any way, shape, or form I'm happy to help!
I might as well reply to this, so here I go…
Girls are all different so they all look for different things. I myself don't want a guy who feels the need to be in charge. I like to be myself and I can argue like a guy if I don't agree with you. I really don't care for the whole 'bad boy' act because they aren't boyfriend material. I'd much rather be with a guy who is a bit shy and not trying to prove how much better he is than me. That's just a turnoff. I also find smarts extremely attractive. If you are smart dont hide it! There truly is someone for everyone and if you hide it then you will never truly find someone who you get along with being yourself.
~ A hot nerd's view :P
well it depends on the girl. but basicailly if a guy can make me laugh, has common interests, great personality and show me a good time then hes ok with me.
Personally, I like a guy who can make me laugh but is also protective of me. I'm also a sucker for green eyes
yes somone found my thread:)*leaps for joy*
