Recently my best friend left me, quite randomly. I was told I hadn't done anything. I'm still not completely over it, though I have ultimately decided that the end of our friendship was for the better. It's still hard to let go of all the memories and things. Any advice?
I've been in this situation too, it sucks. Something I really learned is that loosing a best friend is like getting out of a relationship; it goes in phases. You'll (most likely) go through the stages of mad, heartbroken(Sad), indifferent, upset, vengful, forgiving, etc. My biggest advice is to just take it as it comes. Don't do anything rash or against your better judgement and just generally try to move on with your life.
I know exactly what you're talking about. although I was the friend who made the sudden break in my case. I started high school, trying to get over it. You're always going to remember. Don't let go of those memories. You just need to come to terms with them. If you were friends for a long time, then I'm telling you, moving on doesn't come easy. You're still going to be thinking about your friend a year from now, just not as often and hopefully with more neutral emotions.
