This guy I like at school took it apon himself to drink some of my tea without asking.
Now, it was kinda cute and I didn't mind when he did it (I'm a germaphobe), but he did it again another day after that. Does this mean he likes me? We talk a lot and he always wants me in his group for projects, like we are now.

I think he has a crush on you. Usually when anyone goes out of their way to get someone's attention (even if it's in a negative way) it's usually because that person is attracted to the other person.

It's a definite maybe. It's hard to tell, which I guess you already knew. He might just think of you as a really great friend, which is always a jumping off point. Maybe if we knew what was happening before or after the sip, it'd be easier to tell... It sounds like he likes you, but whether it is a love or friend thing, you'd need more clues. Maybe look at his body language, or how many times he looks/touches you...

If he his aware of you being a germaphobe then the chance of him having a crush on you seems the more likely. But nonetheless its hard to read peoples intenions in these cases. So best take note or let us know of any future "going out of the way" behavior

People think that other people like them on tiny things . . . I doubt it, not meaning to put you down, but come on, he drank some of your tea. It was probably nothing...
