I like this guy I have in two of my classes. We have a lot in common and he's so smart. He's got a lot if not everything I'm looking for, but I think he's dating someone. He's taking this girl I don't like to Homecoming and all so I'm staying home. I really wanted him to ask me, but I guess a reason he wouldn't would be the fact that I'm a little but taller than him. He's probably about 5'7-5'8, and I'm about 5'9-5'10. I know it might seem to be a lot, but not really. So should I keep trying with him or just forget it? The thing that gets me the most is that he's been raised with a military family as I and I feel like we can kinda connect and he understands some of the things that I've gone through and currently am. I need help!

You should definitely keep going for him. First, you should find out whether or not that's his girlfriend. Could you tell me how close you two are as friends and are there any signs that he might like you? Don't worry about the the height thing not all boys care about a height difference(if any) and for the most part, a boy probably won't approach a tall girl because most girls want someone taller then themselves, so with that being said, you might have to give off signs that you like him

I think you should first try to be friends. Talk to him, get to know him, don't over-analyze things. Just act natural and be yourself, talk to him every once and awhile, but, don't obsess. Just become friends and take it from there :D

We talk a lot in both classes we have together. In Geography he'll poke me several times in the back(I sit infront of him) and he'll whisper things to me. On a project we did he had a blank space in a corner and you can't have blank spaces so I suggested writing his name fancy and he wanted me to so I did. He seemed pleased that I did. I always listen when he talks and try to create conversation with him any time I can, but don't over do it.

Sounds like you've been making great progress. Did you find out if that was his girlfriend yet? Just keep doing the things you are doing and once you find a perfect moment to hint to him that you like him, I suggest you do it.

I haven't found out for sure they are dating, but tomorrow I will.
