Ok so to be completely honest, i really loved the first part of the Hobbit! i did! but after watching it for the second time, i realized i didnt like it quite as much as the LOTR trilogy, and for a while couldnt figure out why. then it hit me!
basically, the Hobbit: an Unexpected Journey didnt have quite the same level of emotion as the LOTR movies did. and it wasnt quite as dark, it didnt have the same sense of pressure, of overbearing motive that LOTR did. a friend and i were talking it over, and we agreed that each of the original LOTR films had epic, sad, but utterly beautiful endings to them. the hobbit just had a horrible cliffhanger. i really just want to know your opinion on the subject. which was better, LOTR or the hobbit?
i guess you should keep in mind that the hobbit is to have two more sequels, and they may prove to be better.
okay, i thought the same thing!! i loved it the first time, but now im like, umm... LOTR? or Hobbit? ahh!! i cant make up my mind.. okay, maybe the book on the The Hobbit was better, but the LOTR is better than the movie the hobbit... yes? no?
The Hobbit was great! However, it lacked the intensity if Lord of the Rings. It was more of an adventure less of an epic.
thats what i was trying to get at! thanks for putting it in such simpler terms
i think that LOTR was better as books, but the movies kindof stand alone as AWESOMENESS. the hobbit book was much better than the movies first part. but hey, they make it or break it with the second and third part:P
I liked The Hobbit. I think that it was a good movie. I have only one reason to dislike the cliff-hanger ending: I have yet to recive any hint of them making a sequel. Also, I like the Hobbit much more than LOTR because I have never seen any of the movies.
WHAT! YOU HAVENT SEEN THE LOTR!!!!!! THATS A MUST! awww man. that sucks:P but yes, there is going to be 3 hobbit movies:D
3!!!! They used half of the actual book in the first one. How are they going to add 2 more movies?
well thats the question i guess. im a little wary of it as well.
