Whenever an english band gets a hold of a music genre and makes it their own, they always claim that they have perfected it and are better then everyone else, yada yada. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Spice Girls, Elton John, David Bowie, etc... have all taken music from American culture and made lots of money off of it. They are so pompous and full of themselves it makes me sick. It's like what white people did to Blues in the fifties and sixties, except even more commercialized. At least the Rolling Stones and David Bowie had some talent under their belt. One Direction is replaceable. Their music is simple and whiny and seems like a ruse to pick up pre teen girls. Why else would a boy sing such goofy music? Girls.
