Or future ones, like myself. It would be great to meet you all! I have three little shorts made, but they're nothing great, really. I have another past the storyboarding stage, and that could be something nicer. Trade tips, suggestions, anecdotes, anything right here in this thread. (Maybe?)

I just got JellyCam V4 animation software and a WebCam, and I can't wait to test them out!

I was thinking of making an armature to animate. Does anybody have suggestions on what materials--like, kinds of clay and wire--to use?

Um, yep! Since 2010. The first thing I did was make an artist's mannequin squish a Lego guy.
You can see the shorts on YouTube: "My First Steps Into Film" (Unfortunately I couldn't avoid slipping my hand in by accident.)
Yeah, it's slow and detailed work, but the results are completely worth it. The art form's come a long way in just a century.
