So THAT'S what your pic is! XD I could never figure it out, as all of them are so freakin tiny . . . :(
Yeah, I think they'll try to throw in a "surprise" about who Amon really is. And maybe he'll be a descendent of one of the good guys, but evil. Or maybe even one of the good guys, but evil now. Random idea . . .
One blog I read pointed out how, while Zuko was introduced early as an extremely complex villain, verging on anti-hero, this guy- Amon- seems pretty straightforward in terms of "ha-ha-ha"ness, but also suggested they'll be revealed to be more complex.
Now, Dante Basco (the voice actor for Zuko) has revealed he'll be playing a character in an episode of Legend of Korra. The episode in question is called "Skeletons in the Closet", and the character is supposed to have a connection to Firelord Zuko. So, this makes me wonder...
Could Amon be a descendent of Zuko? And then Dante would voice him in flashback form for when he was a teen...perhaps he was born a non-Bender and felt humiliated? Something along those lines...
Yah, I'm thinking that Amon was something like that - maybe even a non-Bender child of Aang and Katara that hasn't been mentioned...
Mako is sooooo perfect!!! I watched the first two episodes on Nick and almost died! It's amazing. I just hate how it airs on Saturday mornings.
The first two eps are available FOR FREE on iTunes!!!!! :D
Already got em!
I am SOOOOO excited for the Legend Of Kora. When the Last Airbener series ended the only thing going through my head was, "how can this be the end???" So now I'm really excited about the new show....2 days and counting. :)
I'm also planning on buying the Season Pass, which will allow me to download each episode off iTunes as soon as it comes out... :D
My dream would be to put the cabbage merchant as the villian, just to add to the irony. Somehow I don't think that'll happen. Also, who in the world did Toph have a kid with?
Sakuya: I like to think Sokka and Suki eventually broke up (I mean, how many people marry the person they went out with in high school? Sure, it happens, but the odds are in my theory's favor ;) ) and Sokka and Toph got together years after the war. ^_^
Also, everyone: WHO'S PUMPED FOR A NEW EPISODE OF KORRA TOMORROW MORNING?!?!?! :D
Ok, Amon sucks. Do you think he's just an awesome chi-blocker or did he actually go to the spirit world and gain those powers?
Well I sure as heck don't believe his little story about being an innocent farmboy. Whenever any character in any story/show has a mask, there's a reason why- because the creators don't want us seeing their face. And if he really was just burnt under there, they'd show it.
No, he either is somebody we know or is connected to somebody we know, either from this show or the first one.
When I saw Amon was an EnergyBender (as Dolphin so dubbed ;) ), I almost flipped out XD. Makes me love him even more :D (my avatar is a picture of Amon, after all!), though I don't know what to believe on how he got the powers. But yah, I agree with Dolphin, I highly doubt his farm story is completely (or even mostly) true.
Legen Of Korra is one of my new favorite shows! I watch it every week with my baby brother and my sister, and we all love it! Besides being totally awesome it provides us with some quality TV-Togetherness Time, lol.
KORRA AND MAKO FOREVER!!!!!!!!!
I've been meaning to bump it up haha
As for who Mako should go with, I really don't know. At first I liked him with Asami, and then I didn't, but now I think I'm back to likeing Asako (Mako+Asami).
To be honest, I don't really like Korra all that much. She's just...I dunno. Kinda stupid. Don't get me wrong, she's getting wiser as the show continues on, but still :P
As for the Identity of Amon, what do you guys think, now that we have some more info?
Alright, I have a couple thing to say about this show. 1.) When the original Avatar series ended, I was crushed. I had grown so close to the characters (Sokka especially ;D ) and seeing the series end was a heart-breaking experience. Last year when I found out they were beginning a new series, I was very excited. I was a little skeptical of LOK at first but was very pleased to find that the creaters stuck to the original concept of Avatar. LOK is now one of my favorite shows.
2.) Shoot me, I'm a Borra (Bolin/Korra) shipper.
3.) My theory about Amon is a little far fetched but if some one wants to hear it, I'll try to explain. :)
And, 4.) while Asamie is pretty kick as5 awesome, I find her somewhat...mean. (many words I could've used but I'm sparing the good people here) Sory of this offends anyone, but it's kinda true...
1) Yes, I was so sad as well! I loved Zuko ^-^. I was so happy when they finally announced it!
2) Me too! I dunno...I just like Bokorra better. Sadly, I think it's gonna end up Makorra though :P
3) I'd like to hear your idea! I'll explain my new theory later
4) Yah, I think she's just jealous/paranoid – I mean, she did just find out her dad was basically lying to her about everything. At the end of today's episode, however, she seemed too smug. I definitely think she's up to something.
*OMIGOSH GENERALL IROH II??!? He's totally my new fancrush ^^
Okay so my theory about Amon; Tenzin has two siblings. Bumi is a non bender, the only non bender of Katara and Aang's kids, and Kia is their waterbender daughter. I think, because they are never mentioned except for the first episode, Kia is dead and Bumi is Amon.
My reason for this assumption is that Amon said his family was killed by a vengeful FIREBENDER. Which, incedently, Aang fought in the hundred year war. This gives motive to the firebender to attack the family I believe Katara tried to escape with Tenzin and Bumi while Kia was killed first and Aang died protecting the ones who were escaping. Bumi was injured (believed dead and left behind) while Tenzin and Katara fled. Bumi woke alone, seeing his dead father and sister, thinking his mother and brother met the same fate. He plotted his revenge against the benders and eventually found that his brother was still alive.
Now, you may ask "Why does Amon want to take Tenzin's bending and hurt him and his family?" The answer is simple; Bumi believed that Tenzin and his mother left him because they thought he was useless because he couldn't bend and defend himself. Thus, this gave him reason to exact his revenge on Tenzin, trying to prove he wasn't weak.
And Iroh II?? My little brother and I screamed. I cried when Amon got Lynn and Meelo said "That lady is my hero."
I'm jumping into this conversation. I love Borra their so cute togather even though Korra annoys me. Does anybody think Korra is more of a fire bender than a water bender. Aang acted like an air nomad but Korra just confuses me.
