The Impact of Music

Ever had a piece of music or a song just click with you? it just sets off a light in your head? brings tears to your eyes maybe, causing you to cry? perhaps you jumped for joy? or the opposite, and punched a hole in the wall out of anger?
what if it told the future, and what happened matched up very similarly to the lyrics?
here are my examples
Creeps me out/makes me sad/totally addicted- "Take it all Away" by Red
Told the future, because the first Verse is exactly what happened a week ago- "Ordinary World" by Red
Made me realize how precious life was, and how there should be no fear in death- "Into the West" by Annie Lennox (also on the Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King soundtrack)
go ahead and post away, id love to hear your thoughts, and honestly, i will probably list more of my own.
p.s.- yes you should go and listen to the songs mentioned above:P

Reminds me of "the one that got away." We only spent one heartfelt night at our Winter Formal together before she left a week later to move to Florida. She has inspired my writing ever since. Mat Kearney, "Ships in the Night" and "What She Wants" (same artist) ____________________________________ Reminds me of how I managed to save a friend of mine from going over the edge. I'm thankful for every day we've both lived since her struggle with sui.cide. Skillet, "Not Gonna Die"

So my dissent was a shallow defense I made
To lay waste through the powers of fame?
When all the blame I carried around my neck,
Viscous cycle of hate that I changed to find my way!

When the sovereign comes to me,
I eclipse in the shadow's veil,
Killing all I cease to be.
For the passing vein is hate!

A fall to the fires of Hell, never fail to awaken,
Though my soul ascends in the darkness of my heart, again;
I'm God-Forsaken.

-"God Forsaken"- Demon Hunter

if you liked skillet look up Disciple and the song Invsable, they are great, i
play music and love it, guitar and bass mostly but many others as well, its spiritual for sure.
many would say  there is no spiritual relm, obveously some people need to listen to music.
comedy is great to, the wisest man in history ; solomon said that laughter is healing to the bones!
and what causes cancer? hatred invy hurts in your life unforgivness... so they eat your bones and laughter heals it, cool right?

thank you so much for making this forum, first of all, because I'm such a music junkie in everyway, and I love to talk about music <3

Lots of songs have just clicked with me, tons of times. Right now ... It would have to be a toss up between Celebrity Status by Marianas Trench, because I love MT and this song just never gets old, and a song that brought me to tears from them was There's No Place Like Home, specifically the line: Shallow graves for shallow hearts, for pick me ups and fall aparts. for promises that never started right. I could go on forever ... also "Goodbye, you Suck" by Shiloh, bcuz the entire song reminds me of a bad relationship I recently got out of, with a person who was manipulative, demanding, mean, etc, just like the lyrics say

haha! so im not the only music junkie here!!! hehehe
so most recently for me, its been really hard to simply live, just with all the pressure of certain stuff, and a line from "work" by david crowder band has been stuck in my head. he says "I have no fear of drowning, its the breathing, thats taking all this work".
there are tons more songs, and i HAVE to add them sometime to this thread, that have made an impact on me.
thank you for sharing your thoughts! and i understand the relationship thingy, although i can say, the girl i was talking to let me down slow, and didnt really break my heart. but it still hurts, yaknow?
