I wrote this really short poem back in 2010 or so and I uploaded it on Teen Ink, and then forgot about it for two years...until I recently went into my account and found out that I got published in 2011. Weird. I'm happy, but it feels strange LOL
Congratulations! THough it's a bit late XD
Thanks! Very, very late. :D They told me I was a VIP user but I guess they got rid of that title because I didn't log in for two years...hahaha
Oh well. It feels like a very very late birthday present
Is today your birthday? O.o
No, it was two months ago but it still feels like one! :)
hey mamonde whats up
Shouldn't they have sent you a magazine if you'd gotten published? I thought that's one of the things this site guaranteed! I'd be pretty disappointed to find out that my poem was published and I didn't get a copy.
My older sister has been published twice, and she got a magazine both times. And wooden pens that say TeenInk on them, and sticky notes that say something like, "From the desk of a published author"
Yeah, I was wondering why I didn't get a magazine but I guess 1. I live in South Korea, so they didn't bother sending one internationally or 2. It went to the wrong address....... so anyways I sent them an email ;)
Good idea! You should be able to get the magazine like you deserve.
I hope so! I'm worried though, because my poem was published in 2011 and it's been nearly a year and a half since then
Still, you should get the magazine. I know it's been a while, but they should keep copies for situations like this. If there's any justice in the world, you'll get one. xD
XD I hope so! There's still no reply from Teen Ink but I'm waiting ;) I'll post again when they do!
Still no reply.....!!!
It's been a while! I wonder what's up?
I dunno...it's been over a month and I really need/want that copy! :(
Maybe you should message them again or something. I don't know! I could message too, if you tell me where the TI email can be found.
I didn't know where to email, so I contacted both the editor (Editor@TeenInk.com) and submissions address (Submissions@TeenInk.com) but I didn't get a reply. What if there's something about my Korean email address that makes me go straight to spam mail?? Urgh..
If I had a Twitter or Facebook account I would try, but unfortunately I don't have both, so... And because of the 10 hour time difference it's not so easy to call them....
I finally managed to call them! It's 1am here in Seoul.....and I am super tired but really excited! I guess there was a mix-up with my address in the first place so I may get that copy of mine after all!
