((Thanks...didn't know that.))
Shiloh looked from Shadow to Adrian to Star. She wasn't sure how to get Shadow off the ground. She went over and put the bridle back on him, it'd fallen off when he shifted and then gently trie dto nudge him up while holding Isabel in her free arm.
"Come on." she said quietly, looking around also to make sure no one was sneaking up on them.
"Shiloh, here." Adrian shifted into a dragon and nudged her to move out of the way. He used his claws and grabbed Shadow, flapping his wings to help the horse to get up off the ground. It did occur to him that Shadow was immortal, but he also recalled that the horse couldn't heal while still in the circumstance that harmed him. Bones had to be set, and he had to be able to stand upright in this situation to be able to heal.
Shiloh stepped back and rocked Isabel gently. She guessed the baby needed to be fed soon, it'd been a few hours since she was fed and she'd puked that up.
Shiloh unied her shirt collar so it was looser as seh prepared to feed Isabel. She watched Adrian and Shadow nervously.
Adrian groaned with the effort of trying to help lift the horse, but with enough effort from both of them, Shadow got on his feet. He was weak-legged, but he could stand at least. His head drooped, and his breathing was heavy.
Shiloh climbed onto Star's back. She didn't want to over exert Shadow,
"We shou' go fi' a new p'ace to s'ay." she murmured. She was gently rocking Isabel who was fitfully sleeping.
Shadow gave a groan as he started walking. He started to fall but Adrian was here to nudge him and support him. "Let's go then." Adrian told her, trying his best to help the black horse along without letting any more harm come to him.
Shiloh continued toward sthe mountains, closer, she hoped to find a cave that was more hidden, more secluded yet there would still be hunting grounds and water.
She turned and satrted to ride Star up an incline, looking back now and then to check and make sure Shadow was keeping up.
Shadow followed her at first, but after a few minutes he just couldn't go any further. He stopped, leaning almost completely on Adrian to stay upright. "I think he needs a rest." Adrian told her. "This is too much on him right now."
Shiloh nodded. She stopped and slidding off Star she held Isabel close,
"I'll see if I can find some food." she said as she headed to the bushes to check fo edible food for her and everyone else.
Adrian was a little uneasy about Shiloh having to carry the baby around. Surely it was only hindering her. But then he was too busy helping Shadow stay upright to try to shift back and hold the baby. Besides, he was rather sure Shiloh was being clingy with the child, and he couldn't blame her. Not after what happened.
Shiloh picked an arm load of grass and coming back dropped it off at Shadow's feet before going back for more. THree times she came back with loads of grass and then another time with branches covered in berries. She sat down quietly, putting Isabel in her lap gently she satrted to eat, she needed to feed Isabel too, she looekd worried at her baby,
"Wi'' she e'er ge' be''er?" Shiloh said with worry and seemed very clos eto tears.
Adrian sighed, closing his eyes. "She'll be okay...I'm sure she will. If she doesn't get better by herself, Nathan will find a way. You know he always finds a way." He looked down. He sort of admired Nathan, and his determination.
"I know, Na'han fi'ure thin's ou'. He smar' and goo' at alo' of s'uff." Shiloh said. Isabel started to cry again, her face turning a birght purpley red. Shiloh picked her up,
"I's o'ay, I'abel, you're go''a be fi'e. I's o'ay." she siad rocking her. She undid her shirt and helped Isabel start feding hoping to calm her.
Adrian looked away, sighing again. He hoped all would be well. Nathan was a determined man, but he could only do so much. The odds were against them in the end, and the young dragon knew it. He could only hope, and try to be strong. So that if ever it came down to it, he'd be ready to fight and protect the ones he loved.
Shiloh finished feeding ISabel and stood up,
"Can you mo'e ag'in?" she asked Shadow looking worriedly at the horse and at Adrian, she hoped both would be OK,
"We nee' to fin' some'ere sa'e to s'ay tonigh'." she muttered,
"An' wai' for Na'han." sje added.
